The United People Global Sustainability Leadership Program 2023 (fully-funded training in the US) is now accepting applications for participants. It is the most comprehensive sustainability leadership program available for young adults, 18-35 years old, who want to make the world a better place through their actions.
UPG is a movement based on the commitment to solve problems with what we have, rather than waiting for someone else to step in. Essentially, it is a movement that asserts that everyone can contribute to a more sustainable world.
UPG believes sustainability includes BOTH the usual “green” issues such as planting trees, recycling waste, managing energy, and protecting the oceans. The other problems that have been at the heart of our societies for many years, such as education, health, employment, gender equality, sustainable consumption, and sustainable production.
UPG is looking for young, determined people from all different paths of life and regions of the world. From well-experienced professionals to freshly graduated students. The selection process considers four factors:
Your Profile – this helps us to strive for diversity
Your Motivation – they select the most motivated
Your Capabilities and
The Potential for Impact
This program is open to young leaders who are 18 to 35 years old by October 1, 2023. For the duration of the training and experiences, all participants need to be within this age group.
In addition to a strong desire to become Sustainability Leader, you also possess strong capabilities, as well as initial ideas you can implement.
- A free online training course will be offered to all 500 participants
- Certified as PG Sustainability Leaders upon completion.
- Training materials, accommodation, subsistence, local transportation, and international flights ( a round-trip flight from the participant’s hometown to the US) for the one-week immersion program
