KIR Foundation 5th Annual Charity Fair

First Published On: November 9, 2017 at 7:34 AM

Since 2013,  KIR Foundation has been hosting  the Annual Charity Fair with the following objectives; to tell the stories of how the donations from our donors and partners have transformed the lives of our beneficiaries,  to create awareness about our projects as well as to display and sell the items made by our beneficiaries with and without disabilities so that our beneficiaries can be encouraged to be more self-reliant.
The focus of the KIR Foundation Annual Charity Fair 2017 is the ‘EDUCATE A DISADVANTAGED CHILD PROJECT’. The donations from the fair, proceeds from sale of raffle tickets and exhibition stands and items will be used to provide disadvantaged primary school children in 8 rural communities in Nigeria and 2 Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camps with educational supplies like text books, exercise books, writing materials and  storybooks in 2018. One of the major barriers to school enrollment and retention in rural Nigeria is the lack of educational supplies. The aim of the KIR Foundation ‘Educate a Disadvantaged Child Project’ in rural Nigeria, is to encourage retention and improved learning by mobilizing community support, providing school books, text books, stationaries, et cetera.
