About the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme
The NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme is part of Nigeria LNG’s long-standing commitment to
strengthening education, building human capital, and supporting Nigeria’s next generation of leaders.
NLNG invites applications for the 2025/2026 academic year from eligible first-year undergraduates enrolled in federal or state universities across Nigeria.
The goal is simple:
To support exceptional students so they can excel academically, graduate successfully, and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s growth.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
You must:
* Be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and currently residing in the country.
* Be enrolled as a full-time first-year undergraduate student in a federal or state-owned university for the 2025/2026 academic session.
* Have at least five O’Level credits (including Mathematics and English) in one sitting—WASSCE, SSCE, or NECO.
* Score a minimum of 200 in the JAMB UTME.
* Be 18 to 25 years old at the time of application.
* Not receiving any other scholarship, bursary, or financial grant.
* Not a spouse, child, ward, or direct relative of an NLNG staff member.
Meeting these criteria ensures applicants are qualified for further screening and the next stage of the highly competitive process.
What the Scholarship Offers
Each selected candidate receives:
